Philip H. De Bry, DDS
A native of Southern California, born in Inglewood and raised in the Redondo Beach/Torrance area, Dr. De Bry went to college at Whittier College in Southern California and dental school at Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago Illinois where he graduated in 1983. Following dental school, he spent seven years in the U.S. Navy as a dentist. During that time, he was able to train for 3 to 6 months in each specialty of dentistry and then spent several years in prosthetics training. After leaving the Navy, Dr. De Bry returned to Northwestern University where he spent two years in a Geriatric Fellowship. He returned to California and spent one year in a hospital residency in Fresno. He came to Mariposa after buying the practice from Dr. Hal Browder in 1995.
Dr. De Bry has been treating jaw-joint and facial pain for 20 plus years and has done extensive post-graduate training at the Pankey Institute.
He enjoys riding bicycles and horses, hiking, backpacking, fly fishing and photography. His home is in Mariposa where he lives with his wife Shayna, a long-time Mariposa resident.
Connie Owen-Evans, Patient Care Coordinator and Office Manager
Connie has been with Dr. De Bry since 1995. She is married with two sons and one step-son.
Tori Leanos, RDA and Asst. Patient Care Coordinator
Tori was born and raised in the Merced area and moved to Mariposa in 2005. She attended Galen College to receive her Dental Assisting Certificate in 2005 and received her RDA Certificate in 2006. She has three wonderful children and a great husband.
LaDonna Phillips, RDA
A long-time resident of Mariposa, La Donna graduated school as a dental assistant in 1995 and became a full-time assistant with Dr. De Bry in 1997. She is married with two sons, 1 step-daughter and 2 beautiful grand-children. She loves working with people. "I see myself as a real people person!"
Sally Eatherly, RDH
She joined our staff in 1997 to just try it out and has never left! She lives in Fresno and commutes 150 miles per day because of the wonderful people she's met in Mariposa. Her college education was at the University fo Minnesota but she's lived in New York State and Colorado and now Fresno for the past 22 years. She was a dental hygienist at the medical/dental school in Denver in a hospital residency program. Her experience includes working for a periodontist, oral surgeon and several periodontists. The continuing learning process and sharing new information with patients keeps her profession fun.
Christine Hardsveldt, RDH
Born in Chicago Illinois, raised in San Jose California, Chris has lived in the foothills of the Sierras for 17 years. She attended San Jose State University, but received her dental hygiene license after graduating from Sacramento City Community College. Initially working in dental offices in Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay areas, she volunteered in dental clinics that met the needs of migrant farm workers. For the 32 years she has been practicing hygiene most of her continuing education has focused on the treatment and prevention of periodontal disease. "I love dental hygiene because I love working with people one-on-one."
Chris lives with her husband and her horse on 30 acres in North Fork. They have three children.
